Voller Kopf – leeres Blatt

Das größte Problem, das ein Autor (oder ein anderswie kreativ tätiger Mensch) haben kann, ist das Ausbleiben von Ideen. Sollte man meinen.
Natürlich habe ich damit auch hin und wieder meine Schwierigkeiten. Aber was mich oft sehr viel mehr blockiert, sind die Tage, an denen mein Kopf vor Ideen zu platzen droht. Tage, an denen ich morgens mit einer frischen Idee aufstehe, mittags schon eine neue habe und mir abends im Bett dann drei weitere kommen.
Denn mein Problem ist meine Entscheidungsunfreudigkeit.

Im Moment befinde ich mich wieder in einer solchen Phase, in der mein Kopf voller und voller wird und meine Gedanken wie Frösche auf Koks von einer Idee zur nächsten springen. Und wieder zurück. Besonders schlimm ist es diesmal, weil es nicht nur die Schreiberei betrifft.

Im Laufe der letzten Tage haben sich etliche Entwürfe für den Blog angesammelt, die teilweise nicht über ein oder zwei stichpunktartige Sätze hinausgekommen sind. Aufgeschrieben nur damit ich die Idee wenigstens nicht vergesse, wenn ich sie schon nicht umsetze. Zu dem PC-Spiel The Long Dark habe ich einen fast vollständigen Beitrag geschrieben, am Ende aber eine neue Idee zur Strukturierung und  Gestaltung bekommen und die Sache erstmal in die Garage gefahren. Ebenso erging es einem Beitrag über das D&D5-Regelbuch.

Denn da ist seit ein paar Tagen auch die (sehr erfreuliche) Tatsache, dass ich wohl bald wieder eine Rollenspielgruppe haben werde. Also springt mich aus jedem Busch und aus jedem Schrank, an dem ich vorbeigehe, eine neue Charakteridee an. Vor zwei Tagen erst fuhr ich nichtsahnend zum Einkaufen und plötzlich stand da mitten auf der Straße eine Idee, ein Geistesblitz für eine Hintergrundgeschichte, die sich hervorragend auch als Kurzgeschichte verpacken lassen würde.
Die Frage war: Drüberfahren und vergessen – oder anhalten und mitnehmen, auf die Gefahr hin, dass sie sich dann in meinem Zimmer auf der Couch gemütlich machen würde, um dort herumzulungern.
Ich tat Letzteres, bekam – kaum wieder zu Hause – eine ganze Seite dieser Geschichte aufs Papier, bevor die Idee ihr wahres Gesicht zeigte und seitdem auf eben jener Couch fläzt und mich jedes Mal dumm angrinst, wenn ich an sie denke.

Dort sitzt sie also, zusammen mit all den anderen Ideen, die brav und artig still sind, bis ich eine von ihnen auswähle. Denn dann buhlen sie um meine Aufmerksamkeit, schreien sich gegenseitig nieder und überzeugen mich davon, dass gerade diese Wahl die schlechteste war. Sobald ich zu einer anderen übergehe, wiederholt sich das Ganze und am Ende des Tages sitze ich da, mit meiner Couch voller Ideen und einem leeren Blatt. Ich seufze und gehe zu Bett, werfe ihnen einen letzten Blick zu und lösche das Licht. Und ich weiß: Morgen müssen sie ein Stück zusammenrücken, denn über Nacht schleicht sich bestimmt der nächste Quälgeist ein.
